Med Compass Mobile Health Services, a Minneapolis company that provides occupational health services to public safety organizations, donated some critically needed health screening equipment to the Saint Paul Fire Foundation. On April 2nd 2012, Bob Miller, co-owner of the company graciously donated the spirometry system, which is used to test firefighter’s lung functions. Executive Director Mary Kasse, Secretary Steve Shapira, and Board Member Bill Eldredge were there to receive the system which includes a laptop computer, spirometric sensor and calibration apparatus. This gift will substantially contribute to the health and wellness of firefighters, who are occupationally at risk of pulmonary disease.
